How long does the procedure take?

No more than 15 minutes.

What do I need?

  • A computer: Windows (preferred) or Mac.
  • A USB cable to connect your camera. Preferably the one included in the box.
  • A stable internet connection (mobile internet works too).
  • A good mood.

No need to travel anywhere, the procedure is done remotely on your computer.

Can you remove the recording time limit?

Yes, just mention it separately. The cost will not change.

Is it safe?

The procedure we perform is not a “firmware update.” Technically speaking, it’s a configuration of the camera — the same one the manufacturer applies for specific markets.

There’s no risk of “bricking” your camera. No customer has reported any issues.

Can I update the firmware after unlocking the language? Will the settings reset?

Yes, you can. The language will remain.

Will this void my warranty?

It depends on your seller. If you need to send the camera for service, we can restore the original settings.

Is this an official service?

No, but it’s reliable! Avoid anyone claiming to represent Sony or former employees. Cameras imported into Russia are usually not meant for the local market, and Sony does not assist with such cases.
